Nominated for a Brit award 2012. Album released 2010 - "up all night". Was fastest selling debut album on the UK chart of 2011. This was followed by a sell out UK tour of 22 events.

One direction are a British-Irish boy band consisting of member Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louse Tomlinson. They were 3rd in the 7th series of the X factor. There debut single "what makes you beautiful" debuted on the UK singles chart at number one selling 153,965 copies becomng the 3rd fastest selling single of 2011. Liam and the band will be touring the USA in 2012.

Liam joined us a few years back as a timid boy who wanted to sing after watching his sisters perform with us.

So he joined us by taking a singing only role in his first show. Who'd have thought the Liam we see today would have nearly had to be forced onto the stage. After some side of stage fun with a dance off and the huge response of the female cast Liam decided to do the next show as a full cast member.

It was clear very early on that Liam had something special and had a natural talent and each show we did he gained more and more confidence and took on some big singing numbers, he even appeared as our pink 'Toni Minero' from Saturday Night Fever - sorry Liam! Photo evidence.

Liam auditioned in 2008 for the X factor and made it through to Simons house in Barbados but unfortunately was told he wasn't successful. A hard time for everyone around him, seeing the disappointment on his face not even a cinema trip could fix but, this didn't put Liam off singing and being a star it only made him more determined to keep fighting. He's been performing at lots of carnivals and fetes and road shows. I even became his backing dancer at a gig in Atherstone Market Square.

This year as we've seen Liam once again audition for the X factor and although as a solo artist he didn't make it Simon saw what we all see that he had much more to give and has put him with four other talented boys in a band called 1Direction.

Liam Payne and his group 1Direction are appearing LIVE each week. Fighting for his survival he needs OUR VOTES to stay in the competition.

Liam is such a lovely lovely lad and I'm very very proud to say I know him and have so many fantastic memories of him from rehearsals and personal experiences.

I urge you all to Vote for him. Whatever happens Liam you're my star and I love you bits. I wish you all the success and happiness in the world.
